I am out of my element. I tell my co-workers ALL the time how I am "technology challenged". I truly am. It is beyond me to create a blog... I have no idea what I am doing.
I am reminded of others in the Bible that God called them to do things out of their element. I'm thinking specifically of Moses -He had a problem speaking clearly - I've been told that he had an issue with stuttering - whatever it was, he felt out of his element to do what God had called him to do.
Ultimately, it wasn't about what "Moses" could do or was capable of- it was about what God could do through Moses. All Moses had to do was say, "Yes. Yes, use me. May Your will be done through me. I am your servant. I will go where you send me and do what you tell me to do." -regardless of what he felt capable of, Moses said yes to God. (although, he did have his brother Aaron be the voice behind his obedience)
It was never about Moses, and it's not about me. It's about God.
So, here I am. and I pray, "May Your will be done, LORD. Lead me. Guide me. Teach me. May Your Words flow through me, and may You be glorified in all that I do - in all that I am, I want to honor You. Help me to share Your love, mercy, and grace with everyone that I am blessed to connect with today. May I encourage others as we are all on this journey called "life" - all of it's ups and downs - may we be encouraged knowing that Your Word says in John 16:33, that, Yes, in this world we will have trouble, but, we can take heart, because You have overcome the world! Amen!" ...
In the gospel of John 1:1-5 it says:
"The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
2He existed in the beginning with God.
3God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
4The Word gave life to everything that was created,
and his life brought light to everyone.
5The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it." John 1:1-5 (NLT)
(my prayer) ... "Jesus, You are THE WORD. May you give me Your words - help me and may Your light shine through me. "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." (vs 5). Shine, Jesus, shine through me. All of my brokenness that You have mended, are mending, and will be mending - shine through all my spaces and walk with me today. I want to love You more today - with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength - and love others more than myself." In Jesus' name I pray, Amen." <3
